The facilities
The Hall was constructed in 1960.
It is fully heated & double glazed and we have modern lightweight easily foldable tables & seating for up to 140 people at tables or mixed occupancy tables and drinking area, 210 persons. Dancing 280 persons. Closely seated audiences, i.e. films, shows, etc., 240 persons.
We have an ongoing maintenance project and recently updated the kitchen with new tiling and worktops and two new fire doors, and a thorough facelift with a lick of new paint throughout the whole hall. We are indebted to the Belstead Parish Council who frequently supports our fundraising efforts and the Archer Cartwright Charity and the Belstead Community Council for their regular grants helping us with the cost of the heating oil and funding the Christmas Suppers. We often hold fundraising events that have proved very successful and we have been very lucky in that our grant applications for hall improvements have been successful. This allows us to do all work necessary to keep the hall up to modern standards, without increasing the cost of hire to villagers and guests.
Facilities: Servery and car park (75 cars). Licensed for music and dancing.
